Mario Vietti began selling wines from his farm in 1919. The winery is located in the Castiglione Falletto commune of Barolo in the heart of Piedmont. They produce several single vineyard wines as well as some that are blends from the different sites the family owns. The Barbera d’Alba Tre Vigne is from Monforte, Castiglione Falletto and Castiglione Tinella. The wine is aged in large Slovenian barrels for 12 months before bottling and release, giving the wine a lush palate yet retaining all the lovely bright berry fruit characters.
Organic Farming Methods are used in the vineyards.
The 2011 is $24.99
